Which Is The Best Belambra Club For Summer Holidays In France?
Belambra is a big chain of holiday resorts in France, where it competes with names like Landal and Center Parcs. In the UK, it's a different story. If you announce to your mother-in-law that you are going to stay in a Belambra Club, she will offer you a blank expression.
Belambra has about 50 sites but this guide is just going to focus on the 30 or so Belambra 'Clubs'. They also have hotels, but the clubs offer a particularly good range of facilities and activities for a summer holiday in France.
We will start by looking at customer reviews and then narrow down the choice by looking at facilities, value for money and other factors.

Which Belambra Club gets the best reviews?
Let's start by ranking the Belambra Clubs by customer review scores. We will then focus in on the highest scorers in more detail to figure out the best Belambra Club for a summer holiday.
We looked up review scores on TripAdvisor, Google Reviews and Booking.com. Where you only see two scores, it is because there weren't enough reviews on Booking.com to come up with reliable data.

There are then five other Belambra resorts that are 'beach resorts' in that they offer quick access to the coast. These are:
It's worth pointing out that Belambra Borgo, Pineto is on the French Island of Corsica, which is part way between Italy and France. It's easy to reach by plane, but it's not an option if you are driving.
The final two Belambra resorts in our top 12 are:
Without wishing to point out the obvious, there is quite a difference between a Belambra beach holiday and a holiday in the Alps where you will likely be walking and exploring. We will attempt to pick out one or two of each type of resort with a little more narrowing down!

Which Belambra Club is the cheapest for a week's holidays in summer?
Next, we looked for prices at our 12 highest rated Belambra resorts. We looked for a week's holiday in August 2024 for a family of two adults and two children, including half board (breakfast and an evening meal). Some resorts have a self catering option, but we didn't include that in our comparisons.
We could only find self catering holidays at Belambra Rocamadour, Les Portes de la Dordogne. The price was £1539.
So, on price, there is a big range for the one set of dates that we looked at (based on exchange rates at the time of typing).
Belambra Orcières, Le Roc Blanc is the clear winner in this category but there were other low prices at Belambra Avoriaz, Les Cimes du Soleil and Belambra Les Saisies, Les Embrunes. The most expensive by some way was Belambra Presqu'île de Giens, Riviera Beach.
Of course, this is just one set of dates but it gives a good idea of which Clubs are usually cheaper than others.

Which Belambra Club is the most luxurious?
Belambra has its own system for rating its holidays, which is similar to Club Med's Trident system or the star ratings used by a lot of hotels. 3B Resorts are the more basic Clubs, whilst 4B are in the middle and 5B are the best Belambra Clubs.
The 5B Belambra resorts generally have longer hours for kids' clubs, posher food options and more activities.
Of the 12 Belambra Clubs that get the best reviews, three are 3B rated, offering "the Belambra experience as you like it, simple and authentic, without fuss, with the essentials at hand"
Three of the Belambra resorts are 4B rated resorts, offering "everything you love about our Clubs in an enriched version"
Six are rated as 5B resorts, offering "Extra touches, design space decoration, show cooking workshops to liven up your meals, themed evenings and parties for the kids"

Conclusion - which is the best Belambra Club for summer holidays?
So what can we conclude?
If you want a holiday in the French Alps with Belambra then my top picks are Belambra Flaine, Panorama and Belambra Avoriaz, Les Cimes du Soleil.
Belambra Flaine, Panorama is the overall winner on review scores and it also performed very well in our price comparison, with some great value accommodation. It's a '5B' resort, meaning that Belambra consider it one of their best. You get a few extra bells and whistles that are missing from the 3B and 4B resorts. The resort has an indoor swimming pool and a good range of activities onsite.
From the UK, I would fly to Geneva and then drive for an hour.
Meanwhile, Belambra Avoriaz, Les Cimes du Soleil is another Alpine resort that gets terrific review scores (albeit slightly lower than Belambra Flaine, Panorama). It doesn't have a swimming pool unfortunately, but it still has the lovely Alpine views and it was a bit cheaper than Belambra Flaine, Panorama in our reviews. You can reach it in 90 minutes from Geneva Airport.
And what about beach holidays?
If you have a generous budget, then I would start by looking at Belambra Anglet, La chambre d'Amour. It's a 5B rated Club with beach access, fantastic views from some rooms and an outdoor pool. However, it was one of the pricier options in our comparison.
For a cheaper beach holiday with Belambra, I would look at Belambra Trégastel, Le Castel Sainte Anne. It's a 4B resort, so is a little more basic. Most of the accommodation is a series of small houses rather than a plush hotel but customers give it good reviews and it was a solid mid-table performer in our price comparison.
Belambra Trégastel, Le Castel Sainte Anne is a particularly good choice if you don't want to fly for your holiday. It's in Brittany, so you can catch a ferry and then drive for 1-2 hours. Your options are 1) Plymouth to Roscoff, which takes 5 hours 30 minutes for the ferry, plus 1 hour 15 minutes driving or 2) Portsmouth/Poole to St Malo, which take 11 hours/6 hours followed by a drive of about two hours.
