Which Is The Best Europarcs Holiday Park in Europe? (2025 Guide)
It's probably fair to say that Europarcs is less well known with UK holidaymakers than brands like Eurocamp, Center Parcs Europe and Landal Greenparks.
However, Europarcs is a big player with about 50 resorts and a good reputation. The majority are in the Netherlands/Holland and are known as vakantieparks but there are also a small number of EuroParcs resorts in Belgium, Austria, Germany and Luxembourg. Some of them get really good reviews - but you need to do a fair bit of research to find the best ones.
Alternatively, you could let us spend hours comparing them all...
Here's our guide to Europarcs resorts, including review scores, convenience for travelling from the UK, onsite facilities including swimming pools and approximate cost.

Which Europarcs Holiday Park gets the best reviews?
Let's start by looking at review scores for the Europarcs resorts. In some cases, we couldn't find reviews and in other cases, there weren't many scores to go on, but it's a good start!
We added together three review scores - Google Reviews, TripAdvisor and the review on Euro Parcs own website. We then turned it onto a percentage to make it easier to create a ranking (yes, it took ages...). These are in the Netherlands, unless otherwise specified.
Notes about our review scores: Where possible, we included scores from Google Reviews, TripAdvisor and Europarcs.com. However, we found that some resorts didn't have many ratings on TripAdvisor or on Europarcs.com, so we added in the Booking.com score instead. Review scores are correct at the time writing (2024). We rounded to the nearest percentage to keep it simple.

**Club Med Offers: up to 15% off last minute + up to 15% off winter Dream Deals + summer 2025 from £850**
That's a lot of numbers! Can you pick out the highlights?
That list is a bit overwhelming, but it allows us to narrow down our search to a top 13 that we can examine in more detail. (Why did we pick 13? I'm not exactly sure, but it seemed like a good idea at the time.)
You'll notice that there's a significant range in review scores for EuroParcs holiday parks. The highest rated EuroParcs resorts are scoring around 90% with customers - or about 4.5/5. Meanwhile, the lowest rated EuroParcs resorts score more like 66-75%, which is about 3.5/5.
Personally, I reckon a score of 80% or 4/5 is good going for a holiday park.
The best overall, based on the numbers we found, is EuroParcs Pressegger See in the Austrian Alps near Italy (91%), whilst
the lowest rated is EuroParcs Zuiderzee in the Flevoland region of the Netherlands (66%).
Several of the highest-rated Europarcs are those outside of the Netherlands, including:

- EuroParcs Kohnenhof which is near a river on the Luxembourg side of the Luxembourg/German border (90%)
- EuroParcs Hermagor-Nassfeld is also in the Austrian Alps, not far from the Italian border (89%). It's a similar location to EuroParcs Pressegger See.
- EuroParcs Hoge Kempen in Belgium, not far from Maastricht and the Dutch border (87%).
Meanwhile, the best EuroParcs in the Netherlands according to reviewers are:
- EuroParcs Schoneveld by the beach in the Zeeland region (85%)
- EuroParcs Molengroet in North Holland (84%)
- EuroParcs De Koog on the Dutch Island of Texel (84%)
- EuroParcs De Wije Werelt in an inland spot near Arnhem (84%).
Of course, review scores don't tell us everything about a holiday park. We also need to look at things like value for money, things to do onsite and travel distance from the UK. We've also found that a lot of higher rated holiday parks around Europe are the smaller ones with fewer facilities - it's quite rare for the highest scoring resorts to also have the biggest range of activities.
What do EuroParcs say are their best parks?
You may have stumbled upon a blog post on the EuroParcs website that lists 'the top 5 most popular holiday parks of our guests for the summer!'
We're not entirely sure on the criteria that they used for this top five, but here's how their recommended resorts scored on our ranking above:
As you can see, their picks are mostly in our top 20 (apart from EuroParcs Poort van Zeeland, which is a bit of an anomaly). Curiously, they haven't included any of the very highly rated resorts outside of the Netherlands.
Anyway, let's plough on. Congratulations if you are still reading this colossal essay.

Which EuroParcs resort is the cheapest?
Next, we decided to look at prices at Euro Parcs resorts. This gets a little complicated as prices vary significantly throughout the year, so we decided to focus on the 13 highest rated EuroParcs, based on customer reviews.
We looked at the price for a week's holiday in August 2025 for a family of four, including taxes and surcharges. Of course, this is just one set of dates and is peak season, but it gives us a general idea of what to expect.
We excluded tents from our comparison, as it doesn't make for a very fair comparison! We also made sure that the property had at least two bedrooms, rather than requiring two people to sleep in the lounge (which is never a great experience).
From cheapest to most expensive:
You'll notice a rather significant range in prices, with the cheapest resort EuroParcs De Wiedense Meren costing less than half as much as EuroParcs Pressegger See.
Keep in mind that the style of accommodation varies a lot between different EuroParcs resorts - we've just included the cheapest property available at the time of searching. Some are fairly basic chalets, others are more modern and luxurious lodges. It's not quite as easy as comparing - for example - two Saver caravans at Haven resorts in the UK.

Which EuroParcs resort has the best facilities and features?
Let's continue our thrilling EuroParcs adventure (Ed: calm down) by looking at facilities and activities.
There's not a great deal of consistency about what you get onsite at a EuroParcs resorts. Some have swimming pools, minigolf, bike hire and playgrounds. Others have very little onsite.
This is a bit different to Center Parcs Europe, where you get a swimming pool and outdoor activities at each resort (although it's worth saying that there is a big range in quality at Center Parcs Europe - see our guide).
The EuroParcs website has lots of filters on its booking pages. Some are slightly random things that aren't exactly my priority when booking a holiday ("garden fence" and "no fireworks allowed" are my favourites).
If you want a busy activity programme, then I would start with these five EuroParcs resorts, which also get decent review scores:

If you want a busy activity programme, then I would start with these five EuroParcs resorts, which also get decent review scores:
1. EuroParcs Hermagor-Nassfeld in the Austrian Alps scores very well with customers (89%) and has indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a 'swimming pond' (sounds a bit less appealing to me), bike hire, a restaurant, massages and wellness treatments, soft play, a gym, a petting zoo and skiing in winter.
2. EuroParcs Schoneveld in the Netherlands scores 85% with customers and has an indoor swimming pool, sauna, bike hire, activities programme, playgrounds, bowling and a couple of restaurants.
3. EuroParcs Kaatsheuvel in the Netherlands is another high scorer (81%) and is one of the larger EuroParcs resorts. It has the added bonus of being five minutes from Efteling, which is a hugely popular theme park. You'll find that most guests are using it as a base to visit Efteling.
Besides that, you also get indoor and outdoor swimming pools, soft play, mini golf, bike hire, a bouncy pillow, an activities programme and a couple of restaurants. You also get something called a gnome route, but I wouldn't book your holiday based entirely on that.

4. EuroParcs De Zanding is in the Gelderland region of the Netherlands and scores 81% with customers. It's got a simple indoor swimming pool, standup paddleboarding, playgrounds, a sports court, bike hire, activities programme, restaurant and a wellness centre with a sauna, steam bath and sunbeds.
5. EuroParcs De Hooge Veluwe near to Arnham in the Netherlands is a little behind on review scores (76% on average) but you get access to indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a bouncy pillow, bike and pedal go kart hire, a sports court, a kids' activities programme, a restaurant and a sauna.
What facilities can be found at the highest rated EuroParcs resorts?
We've also created a table of the 13 highest ranked EuroParc resorts, according to customer reviews to see how they compare for key features including hot tubs, swimming pools and the surrounding area. Which EuroParcs resorts have hot tubs?
You will have noticed that most of the EuroParcs resorts that scored highest with customers don't have hot tubs as an option with their accommodation.
In all, only about a fifth of EuroParcs offer properties with hot tubs.
If that's your priority then you'll need to pick one of these resorts (we've ranked them by overall customer review scores).
These resorts are all in the Netherlands. EuroParcs don't currently have any holiday parks with hot tubs in Austria, Luxembourg, Belgium or Germany (as far as I'm aware).

Which EuroParcs resorts are closest to the UK?
I am not a fan of huge car journeys, particularly if children are in the back asking if we can stop for another toilet break or a trip to McDonalds.
There's a massive variation in travel distance from the UK to the EuroParcs resorts. For resorts in the Netherlands, you will probably find it is quickest to drive to Folkestone and then catch the 40 minute Eurotunnel/Le Shuttle to Calais. There's also a ferry from Harwich in Suffolk to Hook of Holland, which cuts down the driving time but requires seven hours on a boat. You can get an overnight ferry and book a cabin if that appeals.
Anyway, we calculated driving times from Calais to the 13 highest-rated EuroParcs resorts:
(You will need to add on 40 minutes for the crossing, plus time spent waiting around to get on the ferry. You are meant to arrive 1-2 hours before your departure time. You also need to add on the time to reach Folkestone, which is roughly two hours from London, 3 1/2 hours from Birmingham or 5 1/2 hours from Manchester).
Roughly speaking then, the closest EuroParcs in our selection would require a journey of about four hours from London or seven hours from Birmingham.
You will notice that the highly-rated Austrian EuroParcs resorts are a whopping great journey from the UK. For those resorts, you would be best to fly from London to Klagenfurt airport in two hours, and then hire a car for the last hour to EuroParcs Hermagor-Nassfeld.

Conclusion: which is the best EuroParcs resort in Europe for UK visitors?
Picking the best EuroParcs resort from their range of about 50 holiday parks rather depends on what your priority is.
EuroParcs Schoneveld ticks a lot of boxes. It is easy to reach from the UK, it's in a nice coastal location, customers give it great reviews and it was one of the cheaper locations in our price comparison. It also has a better than average range of activities onsite including an indoor swimming pool.
Another Dutch resort - EuroParcs Kaatsheuvel - is another excellent choice. Customer review scores are good and it has the added bonus being near to Efteling theme park. EuroParcs also highlighted this resort as one of its best in its own top five guide.
If you don't mind a bit of a journey then I would take a good look at EuroParcs Pressegger See and EuroParcs Hermagor-Nassfeld, which are both in the Austrian Alps, near to Italy. They get outstanding customer reviews and offer really lovely scenic locations. The downside is that you would need to fly, or endure a very long car journey.
A couple of other EuroParcs holiday parks outside of the Netherlands are also worth considering - and they have similar journey times to the Dutch resorts. EuroParcs Kohnenhof in Luxembourg and EuroParcs Hoge Kempen were both mid-priced in our price comparison.
EuroParcs De Kraaijenbergse Plassen is a great value option and is another that EuroParcs recommend as being one of its best. Customer review scores are strong and it's a reasonable journey from the UK. It doesn't have a swimming pool, but there's 'wild swimming' in the area if that's your sort of thing.
